Resonant Clinical Solutions Acquires Creapharm Bioservices

Resonant Clinical Solutions announced its acquisition of Creapharm Bioservices, a French company specializing in biobanking and cryogenic storage for advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) and biological samples. The transaction aims to enhance Resonant's global biobanking services and its capacity to manage complex clinical trials.

Creapharm Bioservices offers a range of specialized services, including vapor phase nitrogen storage at -196°C, mechanical freezer storage, cGMP-compliant sample storage, and GDP-compliant sample preservation. This acquisition addresses a growing trend in clinical development, where specialized modalities are becoming more prevalent. Data indicates that non-small molecule therapeutics, including advanced modalities, constituted 46% of Phase I to III clinical trials initiated in 2024, an increase from 38% five years prior.

Christophe Berthoux, CEO of Resonant Clinical Solutions, stated that the acquisition aligns with the company's strategy to better support global clinical pathways by providing partners with specialized expertise and infrastructure. Creapharm Bioservices will integrate into Resonant's Biorepository division, strengthening its international presence and specialized expertise in biological material handling.
