Time horizon

Think in terms of the next few months.

Confidence & best fit

low confidence · Long-term investor

Low confidence → prefer ETFs and “Watch,” not rushing into one stock.

Quick glossary: Watch = track, don’t buy yet · Build slowly = only if it fits your plan · Protect = reduce risk · ETF = a basket of stocks (often safer than one company)
Safer theme exposure (ETFs)

Baskets that own the theme without betting on one company.

  • $IGV A basket of software companies that lets you invest in the general growth of business technology.
  • $BOTZ A collection of robotics and AI stocks for safer exposure to the artificial intelligence boom.
Single stocks (higher risk)

Primary = closest to the story · Peers = same industry · Second-order = knock-on effects · Avoid = looks related but may be a trap

Peer

  • $CRMWatch — track, don’t rush

Other large business software makers benefit when companies show willingness to buy advanced AI tools.

Second-order

  • $MSFTWatch — track, don’t rush

Big technology platforms host many of these AI services, so their growth helps the underlying cloud giants.
