DeepCtrls Secures Series B+ Funding Led by CATL, Aramco Ventures

DeepCtrls, a company focused on applying Artificial Intelligence to physical systems, has completed its Series B+ financing round. The funding was led by CATL, a global new energy leader, and included strategic investment from Aramco Ventures. This development highlights a perceived industry pivot where AI is expected to move beyond digital applications into controlling complex real-world systems, particularly in energy and computing infrastructure. DeepCtrls, founded in 2018, utilizes its proprietary PhyAI™ Engine to integrate AI with physical principles for real-time control of these systems. The company states it serves hundreds of enterprise customers across sectors including semiconductors, new energy, advanced manufacturing, and data centers, and is expanding its solutions to areas like intelligent liquid cooling and computing-energy coordination.

The investment from CATL, a long-standing customer, and Aramco Ventures suggests a recognition of DeepCtrls' potential in what it terms 'Physical AI.' The company aims to create an intelligent control layer for the infrastructure of the AI era by connecting computing and energy. Investors in this round also included Taiping Innovation Investment, GF Xinde, and Fosun Capital, with existing investors Source Code Capital and Forebright Capital increasing their stakes.
