PRRS Disputes MPS Patent Claims Amid Ongoing Litigation

Given the ongoing legal disputes and USPTO rejections of asserted patents, investors should monitor PRRS's legal strategy and any developments in the pending litigation.

Based on reporting from prnewswire-all.

Parking Revenue Recovery Services, Inc. (PRRS) responded to statements made by Municipal Parking Services (MPS), asserting that four of MPS's asserted patents have received a Final Rejection from the USPTO. PRRS maintains these rejections validate its position that MPS's patents are invalid.

**PRRS Disputing MPS Patent Validity**

Parking Revenue Recovery Services, Inc. (PRRS) has issued a statement addressing claims made by Municipal Parking Services (MPS), particularly concerning ongoing patent litigation. PRRS highlighted that four out of five patents asserted by MPS in a June 2025 complaint have been invalidated by the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) following reexamination proceedings. These rejections were based on substantial new questions of patentability not previously considered.

Despite these USPTO determinations, MPS filed a new complaint in July 2026, asserting a sixth patent. PRRS initiated a reexamination proceeding for this patent in August 2026. PRRS maintains that it does not infringe upon any of MPS's patents and has filed a countersuit seeking judgments of non-infringement, invalidity, unenforceability, federal unfair competition, intentional interference with contract, and civil conspiracy against MPS and Premium Parking.
